There have been a lot of negative comments lately about the Mykonos shops and especially the exorbitant prices. When a well-known boxer from Manchester decided to enjoy his vacation in Mykonos, he did not expect to pay the unimaginable sum of 920 euros for a steak.

Former boxer Ricky Hatton on holiday in Mykonos and spend almost 1,000 euros for a piece of meat.

Of course, a Japanese Kobe Rib-eye steak is not just a piece of meat. But had it been a normal cow steak, he may have bought the whole flock for this price.

Hatton woke up in a “lake of tears” when he saw the money he spent for the steak and a dinner with his girl friend.
The bill he uploaded on instagram showed that he paid a total of 1,927 euros for a meal for two that included champagne, prosecco, shrimps, water for 14 euros and some kind of special bread also for €14.

When asked how on earth he justified the bill, writes metro, it appeared he really had no idea he had ordered such opulence. ‘I just ordered it. Didn’t look. Ha ha,’ he replied on social media. ‘The bill came & the fun police just started laughing. Wow.’
‘It was an error on his part. He didn’t read the menu properly,’ they told Metro.co.uk. ‘Hence he received a very large and expensive steak. He was having fun by showing his mistake when he posted on social media. ‘He simply made a costly error and wasn’t being flash.”
Rocky Hatton wisely noted
Why would someone eat Japanese meat on a Greek island? For the 920 euros he could have bought a small heard of goats fed with thyme and oregano infused with salty island air and enjoy Greek meat all through his vacations on Mykonos.
