Autumn mid-term sales kick off on Friday, November 1, and will last until November 15, 2019. According to theAthens Chamber of Commerce, shop owners would be able to open their stores also on Sunday, November 3, and thus from 11:00 a.m. until 06:00 p.m.
Discount products have to have tags with the old and the new price as well as the discount rate.
Additional sales days in autumn are the “Black Friday” on November 29 and the “Cyber Monday” for electronic purchases on December 2.
The Athens Chamber of Commerce opposes the interim sales in autumn and spring. It said in a statement that it has submitted a proposal to immediately abolish the practice of interim sales “expressing the majority of its members and aiming at restoring the proper functioning of the market.”
