Greece’s National Meteorological Service (EMY) issued a weather warning with main features heavy rainfalls and thunderstorms, snow in the highlands and stormy wind up to 8 and 9 Beaufort. The weather warning is issued for the time form March 25 until March 28, 2020.
According to the weather warning, the gradual weather deterioration is forecast to start in the South-West as of Wednesday (Mar 25) night.

Wednesday, Mar 25
Heavy rainfalls and thunderstorms are forecast:
From the evening hours in the Ionian Sea, Peloponnese, West Sterea, and probably Epirus.
In the night Wednesday to Thursday also Crete, the Cyclades islands, the southern parts of East Sterea and Evia.
Snowfalls in the evening hours on the mainland mountainous areas as well as in semi-mountainous areas of Epirus and West Macedonia (indicative altitude 600 meters). Dense snowfalls in the mountains of Central Sterea and Peloponnese.
Thursday, Mar 26
Heavy rains and thunderstorms are forecast in the morning hours in the Ionian Sea, Peloponnese and again as of the evening in West Greece.
In the afternoon the Cyclades and Crete. As form noon time the islands of the eastern Aegean Sea and possibly the
Dodecanese; occasionally also East Sterea, East Thessaly and the Sporades.
Snowfalls in the continental highlands, dense in Epirus, West Thessaly and Central Sterea (indicative altitude 900 meters).
By noon, snowfalls will fade away.
Friday, Mar 27
Rainfalls and thunderstorms are expected in the morning hours in western Greece, east
Peloponnese, eastern Sterea and Evia, the Cyclades, Crete, the islands of the eastern Aegean, the
Dodecanese, the Sporades, eastern Thessaly and possibly
southern regions of Central Macedonia.
Snowfall in the continental highlands (indicative altitude 900 meters).
Saturday, Mar 28
Unstable weather will continue mainly in the East and South Greece, with local rainfalls and occasional thunderstorms.
Winds
Southeast to northeast winds with intensity of 7 to 8 Beaufort on Wednesday (Mar 25) and 9 Beaufort in the Ionian Sea
Winds will gradually weaken as of Friday.
