Just hours before Greece’s concludes the first stage of coronavirus pandemic and proceeds with the second, the one to gradually lift the lockdown restrictions, head of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalias, published the data on the confirmed infections and regions with the most confirmed cases.
Of the 2,626 confirmed cases, 1,496 have been recorded in the Prefecture of Attica.
237 cases were recorded in structures and settlements, 198 cases in Central Macedonia, 160 in Western Macedonia, 125 in vessels, 94 in Western Greece, 93 in Eastern Macedonia and the rest in other areas.
No coronavirus cases have been recorded in the prefectures of Evritania, Laconia and Fokida.
Prefectures with many cases: Kastoria (85), Kozani (71), Xanthi (52), Larissa (50) and Ilia (40).
From the total of the 2,626 confirmed cases recorded in the country since the outbreak late February:
– 1,040 remain active
– 340 of these patients are hospitalized
– 710 are under home isolation- 497 patients have recovered after hospitalization,
– 945 have recovered at home

Municipality of Athens: 314, Kifissia: 116, Thessaloniki: 85, Kastoria: 79, Filothei – Psychiko: 73, Piraeus: 59, Chalandri: 52, Glyfada: 49, Peristeri: 46, Larissa: 42, Patras: 38, Nea Smyrni: 37, Maroussi: 35, Nea Ionia: 35, Xanthi: 34, Eordea: 31.
According to Hardalias, from the total of the 2,626 confirmed cases recorded in the country since the outbreak late February:
- – 1,040 remain active
- – 340 of these patients are hospitalized
- – 710 are under home isolation
- – 497 patients have recovered after hospitalization
- – 945 have recovered at home
Death toll across the country stands at 144.
