Greece’s health authorities announced 3 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 2 more deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of total infections stands at 2,906 and the death toll at 175, the Health Ministry said in a statement issued on Thursday evening.
Of the total infections, 630 concern individuals infected during travel abroad and 1,658 people who were infected in Greece.
16 patients are intubated in hospitals Intensive Care Units. Their average age is 66. Four of them are women.
81.2% of the intubated patients have underlying health issues or are above 70 years old.
A total of 102 patients have been discharged from ICUs since the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country.
Among the 175 deceased, 52 were women.
The average age of the deceased was 76.
94.9% had underlying health issues and/or were over 70 years old.
A total of 170,467 tests have been conducted since the outbreak in late February.
