22 new confirmed coronavirus cases, among them also 10 imported, and no new death were announced on Friday evening by the Greek health authorities. The number of total infections rose to 3,334 and the death toll remains at 191
New Cases – Geographical distribution
Majority of the new cases have been detected in ‘new arrivals at airports and the border crossing with Bulgaria.
4 of the new cases have been detected in Kastoria, 3 in Thesprotia, 2 in Athens and 1 in Xanthi, 1 in Rodopi, and 1 in Alexandroupolis,in northeastern Greece.
The four cases in Kastoria are in the family environment of the woman who was tested positive on Thursday. The kindergarten when she worked has been shut down.
Regarding the confirmed case on the island of Syros yesterday, local authorities said that they were not aware of such a case.

According to the Health Ministry statement on Friday, of the total 3,321 cases, 745 are related to travel abroad, 1,861 are related to an already known case. The rest are not related to travel or another known case or are still under investigation.
11 patients (9 yesterday ) are intubated in hospitals Intensive Care Units. Their average age is 60, among them are 3 women.. 77.8% of the patients have underlying health issues or are over 70 years old.
119 patients have been discharged from the ICUs since the beginning of the outbreak.
Number of coronavirus-related deaths remains at 191.
Among the deceased were 61 women (31.9%).
The average age of the deceased was 76, and 95.8% had underlying health issues and/or were over 70 years old.
A total of 295,851 coronavirus tests have been conducted since beginning of the year, 5,413 (1.81%) were positive. The data include several tests conducted on a single patient, as well.
Covid-19 report June 17-25, 2020
According to the 6. progress report of the Government Covid-19 Observatory, which covers the period 17-25 June, there is a deterioration in the average number of daily cases, which now amounts to 22 cases per day, from 13 in the previous report.
The majority of daily cases usually come from the cluster of Xanthi, focusing on Echinos. Also, notable clusters are located in Rodopi, with a focus on the settlement of Agiasmos, and Thesprotia, with a focus on Paramythia.
It is worth noting that both Echinos and Agiasmos have been place in quarantine.
As a rule, new cases on a daily basis ranged in low double digits. In contrast, Attica, despite the intense population mobility of the previous weeks, continued to show low single-digit numbers.
