Greece’s Civil Aviation changes time for PLF Form from July 9

Travellers to Greece will have to fill up the “Passenger Location Form” (PLF) just 24 hours prior to check-in and not 48 as it was scheduled in the beginning, the Greek Civil Aviation Authority said in a statement. The change is valid from July 9 until August 31, 2020.

According to a decision by the Greek Civil Aviation Authority (CAA):

“From Thursday, July 9 to Monday, August 31, 2020, the CAA informs that the mandatory completion of the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) by all passengers of international flights to Greece must be done 24 hours before check-in and not 48 hours as it is valid until 8/7/2010.”

The form and detailed instructions how to complete the electronic form as well as for the QR Code for each passenger are here at travel.gov.gr.

COVID-19 test for international flight passengers is provided in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, EODY and Civil Protection, the CAA notes in its statement.

All travelers are required to complete their PLF before their check-in and provide information about the departure airport, their address, time of stay in Greece and other details as specified with the form.

Note that travellers receive a confirmation email upon submission of the PLF, the QR Code is received later, says the Greek Civil Protection.

The change is reportedly aiming to facilitate last minute passengers to fly to Greece.
