Greece’s National MEteorological Service EMY issued a weather warning with heavy thunderstorms accompanied by powerful winds and locally possibly also by hail.
The weather deterioration will affect the country amid a heatwave with temperatures reaching up to 41 degrees Celsius.
The change of the weather is forecast to set in on Saturday afternoon, August 1, 2020, and last approximately 24 hours.

From the evening hours Saturday until Sunday noon: Macedonia, mainly Central, Sporades islands, East Thessaly and North Evia.
Sunday, August 2
Sunday noon and afternoon: Peloponnese
Temperature will significantly drop in northern Greece on Saturday and the whole mainland and the northern Aegean Sea on Sunday.
