Greece’s health authorities announced on Wednesday 2152 new coronavirus cases and 87 deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-19 patients has increased to 597, a new record.
The total cases have reached 97,288 and death toll 1,902.
Although testing has been slightly decreased in the last couple of days, the daily cases seem to “stabilize” as if the peak of the pandemic in the country was over. However, the number of dead and intubated Covid-19 patients has been dramatically increasing and the trend is expected to continue upwards for the next days.
At the live briefing on Wendesday, the HEalth Minister had apparently nothing to say on the pandemic and presented the National Health Organization EODY instead.
Anyway, the government is seeking ways on how to gradually proceed with the lifting of the second lockdown before Christmas..
