Greece’s health authorities announced on Monday evening 476 new coronavirus cases and 66 deaths in the past 24 hours. The number of Covid-19 patients intubated in hospitals across the country stands at 467.
Death toll has reached 4,672 and the total cases stand at 135,931.
For one more day, daily tests were around 3,000 due to Christmas and weekend.

The numbers of daily infections are expected to “correct” as of tomorrow Tuesday and most probably increase as more PCR and Rapid tests will be carried out.
On Sunday, Greece rolled out the COVId-19 vaccination program. The first to receive it were an ICU nurse, an 88-year-old care home resident and the political leadership of the country. More details and pictures here.

According to the official daily bulletin on Monday, 5356(3.9%) of the total coronavirus cases are related to travel abroad and 40165 (29.5%) are related to already known infection case.
The remaining infections are without known source.
52.4% of the infected are men.
The number of intubated patients in ICUs stands at 467 from 469 a day earlier. Their average age is 67, among them are 146 women. 80.5% have underlying health problems or are aged over 70.
862 people have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.
Another 66 deaths in the last 24 hours increased death toll to 4672. Of the deceased 1899 (40.6%) were women. The average age of the deceased was 79 and 95.4% of the deceased had an underlying condition or/and was over 70 years old.
Rolling weekly average cases at 623 from 931 last week.
Total tests since begin of the outbreak are 2759570 and 524091 Rapid Ag tests
Tests in the last 24 hours: 3,309.
Positivity PCR+Rapid tests: 6.49%
