Greece’s health authorities announced on Monday, 436 new coronavirus cases and 25 more deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of Covid-19 patients intubated in hospitals across the country has decreased further to 286.
Death toll has reached 5,671 and the total cases stand at 152,671.
Due to the weekend, again the number of testing was significantly lower – PCR: 3,307 – when compared to three times higher on working days.
Nevertheless there is a constant decrease of daily infections.

Meanwhile, the number of cases with mutation strains of Covid-19 has increased to 32 from 26 a few days ago.
According to media, 3 of those infection cases have been detected at the entrance gates, the rest 29 spread across the country. The majority of them in in Athens (17) and in Crete (8)
Meanwhile an outbreak with dozens of infected elderly has been recorded in two nursing homes over the weekend.

According to the official daily bulletin 5863(3.8%) of the total coronavirus cases are related to travel abroad and 47124 (63.7%) are related to already known infection case.
The remaining infections are without known source.
52.1% of the infected are men.
The number of intubated patients in ICUs stands at 286 from 288 a day earlier. Their average age is 68, among them are 204(71.3%) men. 86.4% have underlying health problems or are aged over 70.
1,070 people have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.
Another 25 deaths in the last 24 hours increased death toll to 5671. Of the deceased 3343(58.9%) were men. The average age of the deceased was 79 and 95.4% of them had an underlying condition or/and was over 70 years old.
