High temperatures are expected in Greece during the Holy Week and will locally reach up to 35 degrees Celcius, the the National Observatory of Athens’ meteo service said on Monday.
In many parts of the country the highest temperature, from the Holy Friday, April 30, and afterwards will reach or even exceed 35° Celsius.
Particularly in Athens, temperatures up to 30°-32° C are expected on Holy Friday and on Holy Saturday
In Patras, temperature is expected to range 32°-36° C and in Heraklio, Crete, even 35°-38°C.
Winds will be blowing with intensity of up to 5-6 Beaufort.
Sahara dust concentration is expected to be high from Holy Wednesday, April 28,2021.
Forecast for East Sunday and Monday, May 2-3, is not out yet.
