Greek police detained 25 people on Saturday evening after a protest rally against Covid-measures and mandatory vaccinations turned violent. Among the detained is one police officer. For four protesters detention turned to arrest.
Some 2,500 protested gathered at Syntagma Square opposite the Parliament in downtown Athens on Saturday afternoon.
About a third of them reportedly remained after 40 minutes at the end of the march.
Police wanted the crowd to move so that the traffic could resume. However, some from the crowd started throwing fire bombs, flares, stones and other items at police, who responded with tear gas and water.

This is a completely false statement. I truly wonder why you persist in making this claim and why you want to demonise people who do not wish to be vaccinated. If you yourself are vaccinated then you are protected, according to you, so why should you care?
If you had been present at the the event, which you clearly were not, you would have met parents of schoolchildren, doctors and nurses, scientists and lab workers, and people of all ages from all walks of life and political views. In fact there were 2 events, a peaceful demo at Thissio, and a peaceful demo at Syntagma deliberately spoiled at the end by agitators. If the past is anything to go by, they were there to discredit the event.

once they carry religious symbols and some are supporters of Golden Dawn convicts in jail… the issue of open-mindness is solved.

While it would have been better for the writer to say “religious fanatics AND/OR far right”, being one of the aforementioned groups of people does not exclude the other.
Because this covid/lockdown situation has gone on so long, we have moved from an attitude of caring and being concerned for each other to one of selfishness. “As long as I’M ok, who cares about you?” However, this attitude will simply allow the virus to stay alive and to mutate at will and in more deadly potency – as we are seeing already.
