Lefteris Petrounias wins Bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics

Lefteris Petrounias won the bronze medal in the rings final in Tokyo Olympic Games on Monday. His score of 15.200 saw him place third after Liu Yang from China claimed a gold medal with 15.500 and You Hao from China won silver with 15.300.

The Olympic champion of Rio posted on his Twitter account with hints to the shoulder problems in the last years:

“I’m happy with the result! First due to all I have been through in the last years and I’m here today and because the result motivates me to continue and improve myself. The top belongs to us! Thank you Greece!”

“The Lord of the Rings” is one of the greatest contemporary athletes: He is the 2016 Olympic champion, three-times World champion and a six-times European medalist (five gold and one bronze).

PS Sh*tty -excuse-my-language Greeks who take their car to go to the kiosk next door and the only discipline they’re good at is handling of remote control criticized him on social media for getting just a Bronze and not Gold. *rolling eyes”.
