A 22-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for stabbing to death a friend of his. The 20-year-old victim died on the spot around 3 o’ clock in the morning in the village Ano Kamila in Serres. northern Greece.
A surveillance camera recorded the brutal crime.
The perpetrator fled the crime scene but was later spotted and arrested by police.
According to police sources which cited eye-witnesses, the suspect stabbed the victim because he was dating his former girlfriend.
The perpetrator’s lawyer told local media serraikanea, that the victim had arrange a meeting with him to discuss the ‘girl-friend’ issue but when he arrived he was held by two men and the later victim attacked him and started beating him. He alleged that he pulled the knife in self-defense and in an effort to escape. He denied he stabbed the victim in the heart.
