The Greek Foreign Affairs Ministry’s abolished translation services for the public have now moved online, the ministry announced on Wednesday.
Individuals and businesses who need official translations can now apply online in a simplified system (https://metafraseis.services.gov.gr) and choose a translator.
The available professionals will have registered on the same platform.
The system went into effect on September 1, 2021, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said.
For decades, individuals and businesses in need of officially recognized translations in Greece had to apply at the Foreign Ministry’s translation service in person. The service was frequently busy and on a limited schedule.
