Greece’s health authorities announced on Friday 2,665 new coronavirus cases and 27 deaths in the past 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospitals ICUs increased again by 21 people to a total of 368.
Among the latest fatalities is a 29-year-old man from central Greece.

Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 689,896 infections (daily change: +0.4%). Of the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 107 infections are related to travel from abroad and 2,059 to other confirmed cases.
27 Covid-deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of pandemic victims to 15,317 (one death added form previous days). Of these, 95.45 had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.
A total of 368 patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 66 years and 80.4% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total 368, 323 (87.77%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 45 (12.23%) are fully vaccinated.
3,231 intubated Covid-patients have been discharged from hospital ICUs sine the start of the pandemic.
209 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: -5%). The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 198.
The median age of new infections is 39 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 78 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
