Greece ‘s Health Minister Thanos Plevris announced on Wednesday more restrictions in restaurants and entertainment venues and New Year’s Eve parties without music. Furthermore, the Minister added that the measures against Covid-19 that were scheduled to be implemented from January 3 will go into force tomorrow, Thursday, December 30.
The Minister added that It is also forbidden to hold an event – party in a public or private place. Aim is to avoid the transfer of entertainment from the restaurant to other places.
Measures into force at 6:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec 30:
- Restaurants, cafes and bars will close at midnight. Exception is on New Year’s Eve where they will close a 2 o’ clock in the morning yet without music.
- Music is banned
- Standing customers are not allowed
- Maximum 6 persons at a table will be seated.
All the other restrictions and measures that go into effect earlier than Jan 3, that is on Dec 30, are:
Mandatory Masks: KN95 masks or double surgical or double fabric mask in supermarkets, public transport means; to be wore also by restaurants and catering facilities staff, and where there is crowding.
Teleworking by 50% in private and public sectors and rolling working hours.
Sports stadiums: spectators allowed at 10% of capacity and maximum 1,000 people
Visitors to nursery homes and hospitals: only with PCR test of 48 hours
No visits by pharma representatives to hospitals
The measures are in force until January 15, 2022, while their extension maybe considered depending on the epidemiological situation in Greece.

2. Has anybody talked of proven cures like Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin and
others. They are too inexpensive and off patent. No, just vaccines? Now why
could that be, I wonder?
3. Has any so-called “authority” talked about prevention through vitamins D, C,
quercetin, zinc, selenium, etc. No. Obviously there is no money in that. Look
at the statistics in many African countries, in Uttar Pradesh in India, in certain
areas of Mexico.
4. Have lockdowns in the last two years (!) had any real effect? More of the

Carl, it’s not the government that’s spreading this virus it’s the general public! It’s easy to blame the government but no matter what measures have been put into place if the public don’t do as is needed this virus will continue to spread. I look forward to hearing about the Novavax vaccination in the near future which has been approved by the EMA ( European drugs regulator). I look forward to assessing Novavax (KTG 20/12/21) which uses more conventional technology than Pfizer/BioNTech, AstraZeneca/Oxford, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson, which by all accounts uses new technology. As other posters have mentioned it would be unwise to use anything not having passed trials so I will wait for more information on Novavax.
