Greece’s health authorities announced on Wednesday 18,825 coronavirus cases and 106 deaths in past 24 hours. Seven more deaths from previous days were incorporated today. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospitals stands at 561.
The number of daily deaths remains high.
According to EODY, in the week Jan 24-30, the total of infected aged 4-18 was 40,843, that is 32% of the total infections.
Positivity rate was 7.3% in a total of 1,743,437 laboratory tets PCR and RAPID and 1.95% in a total of 2,221,095 self-tests,
All in all in tests positivity was 3.22%.
Hospital admissions: 3,029 and hospital discharges due to recovery: 2,678.

Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 1,984,544 infections (daily change: +1%). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 429 infections are related to travel from abroad and 2,409 to other confirmed cases.

106 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, brought the the total of pandemic victims to 23,721*. Of these, 95.1% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.

561 Covid-patients from 563 a day earlier are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 66 years, 62.4% are men and 84% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total in intubation, 440 (78.43%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 121 (21.57%) are fully vaccinated.
4,060 have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
521 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: +14.76%), while the daily average of admissions over the last 7 days was 454.
The median age of new infections is 35 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 78 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
