Greece’s health authorities announced on Tuesday 21,412 coronavirus cases and 77 deaths in past 24 hours. Four deaths and 546 confirmed cases from previous days were added with delay on today’s data. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospitals decreased further to 489.

Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 2,216,411 infections (daily change: +1.0%). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 395 infections are related to travel from abroad and 2,338 to other confirmed cases.
To the 21,412 coronavirus cases in past 24 hours, another 546 infection cases confirmed in previous days were incorporated in EODY data today.

77 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours and another 4 from previous days added on today’s EODY data, brought the the total of pandemic victims to 24,917*. Of these, 95.2% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.
489 Covid-patients from 494 a day earlier are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 66 years, 62% are men and 85.7% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total in intubation, 369 (75.46%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 120 (24.54%) are fully vaccinated.
4,155 have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
343 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: -2.56%), while the daily average of admissions over the last 7 days was 393.
The median age of new infections is 35 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 78 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
