Greece’s health authorities announced on Sunday 9,596 coronavirus cases and 67 covid-related deaths in the past 24 hours. The number of Covid-patients intubated in the hospitals across the country has slightly increased to 471 from 463 a day earlier.
On Saturday, authorities announced 15,305 coronavirus cases and 77 deaths.
Several thousands fewer tests due to the weekend.

Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 2,298,926 coronavirus infection cases (daily change: +0.4%). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 283 infections are related to travel from abroad and 2,105 to other confirmed cases.

67 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, brought the total of pandemic victims to 25,327. Of these, 95%. had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.
471 patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 67 years and 87.3%. have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total in intubation, 346 (73.46%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 125 (26.54%) are fully vaccinated.
4,209 have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
329 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: -8.86%). The average daily admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 369.
The median age of new infections is 35 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 79 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
