Greece: 11,883 coronavirus cases, 51 death, 425 intubations

Greece’s health authorities announced on Saturday 11,883 coronavirus cases and 51 deaths in the past 24 hours. the number of intubated Covid-patients has decreased to 425.

On Friday, Feb 25, the daily coronavirus cases were 15,909, the number of deaths 63, while 433 patients were in intubation.

Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 2,397,187 infections (daily change: +0.5%), authorities said on Saturday.

In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 301 infections are related to travel from abroad and 2,365 to other confirmed cases.

51 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours brought the total of pandemic victims to 25,719. Of these, 95.1% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.

425 patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 67 years and 88.7% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.

Of the total in intubatio, 306 (72%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 119 (28%) are fully vaccinated.

4,255  have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.

289 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: +10.31%). The average daily admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 321.

The median age of new infections is 35  years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 79 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).

Note that the number of daily infections, deaths and intubations seem to have decreased in the last couple of days.

PS Due to the war in Ukraine, KTG cannot currently post the lengthy Coronavirus bulletins as it has done since February 2020.

However, you will be always informed in changes regarding Covid-restrictions and updated Covid-maps.

  1. I fully understand that you cannot continue giving a breakdown of cases by region and thank you for the great work you have done in keeping everybody informed. Sometimes you have included a copy of a table in Greek showing the breakdown. Could you provide a link to where that table is published? Many thanks.
