Greece’s health authorities announced on Wednesday 9,288 coronavirus cases and 15 Covid-related deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospitals ICUs has decreasd to 103.
Over 5,500 children aged 4-18 were confirmed positive with Covid-19 in the last week, EODY said in its weekly statement. The rate stands at 16% of the infections total from 0% the previous week.

Weekly average positivity rate stands at 6.18% in 556,948 Covid-19 tests (RT-PCR/Rapid-Ag), EODY said also in its weekly bulletin.
An increase of the positivity rate has been recorded in several islands such as Mykonos (36,9%), Santorini (25.32%), Milos (15.7%), Paros (14,77%). In Attica top positivity rate is in West Attica with 16.33%. (see alsoMap below)

National Health Care Organization (EODY) said on Wednesday that all confirmed infections since the pandemic began stand at 3,517,898 (daily change: +0.3%).
Of the daily 9,288 total, reinfections are estimated at 1,274 in the last 24 hours, while their total since the pandemic began is estimated at 144,221 (3.9% of the total positive results).

15 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours brought the total of pandemic victims to 30,049. Of these, 95.6% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.

103 Covid-patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 69 years and 92.2% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total in intubationl, 49 (47.57%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 54 (52.43%) are fully vaccinated.
4,704 patients have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
126 Covid-patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: +9.57%. The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 104.
The median age of new infections is 37 years (range: 0.2 to 112 years), while the median age of the deceased is 80 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
