The federation of public sector employees ADEDY will launch a 24-hour national strike on Wednesday, February 28, it announced on Monday.
The decision was taken at ADEDY’s General Assembly meeting on February 2, and the strike calls for higher wages, more staff in the public sector, and building all necessary infrastructure.
“We demand a life with rights, jobs with real wage increases of 10% instead of the ridiculous 1.5 euro per day, fundamental measures for high prices,” a statement said, among others.
ADEDY strike means that all public services are closed down.
