A 7-year-old boy beat up an 8-year-old one in order to upload the video on TikTok and attract followers, views and likes. The latest, shocking case of minors’ violence took place in the port city of Patras in north-western Peloponnese.
According to local media, the 7-year-old boy started beating an 8-year-old boy in front of two other children -his brothers- who were filming the heinous act, and then uploaded the video to TikTok.
The three brothers were playing on the village street and had apparently targeted the 8-year-old neighborhood child.
According to reports, the video shows the attacker fiercely beating the victim who was screaming in pain.
The boy run home with a blackened and swollen eye, crying, described to his mother what had happened and showed her the video on TikTok.
She found the attacker’s father who apparently believed what she said and apologized.
The attacker’s father cited various problems that his son has been dealing with, while he allegedly punished his son.
The victim’s mother is considering filing a lawsuit.
She said that police should intervene and make recommendations. She fears that if not necessary measures are taken, there may be a second violent incident in the neighborhood.
