According to forecast data of the meteo service of the National Observatory of Athens, on Tuesday 23/04, in addition to the greatly increased concentrations of dust that will limit visibility, mud rains are expected to occur mainly in the north and west of the country.
On Wednesday, April 24, the turn of the winds to the west will result in the limitation of dust in the Dodecanese and its progressive removal towards the east.
Forecast maps:
Red shades: concentration of dust in the atmosphere during the midday and evening hours of Tuesday 23/04.
Yellow shades: areas where mud rains will occur during the same time intervals.
According to director of Greece’s National Meteorological Service EMY, Thodoris Kolydas, as winds turn West-Northwest on Wednesday, there won’t be any more dust waves until the end of the week.
