Frigate HYDRA intercepts two Houthis’ drones targeting merchant ship

Frigate HYDRA of the Greek Navy intercepted two drones launched by the Houthis against a merchant ship in the Gulf of Aden on Thursday.

One of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) was destroyed and the other one driven away, the General Staff said in a statement.

Frigate HYDRA was escorting a merchant ship, as part of the EUNAVFOR ASPIDES operation, the GS added.

It stressed that after the incident, the frigate then continued its mission as normal.
