Greece’s National Meteorological Service EMY issued an emergency bulletin warning of a bad weather front heading to Greece with stormy winds, a noticeable drop in temperature and heavy rainfalls and storms.
Note that the last few days, temperature in large parts of the country has been reaching up to 30-32 degrees Celsius.
The bad weather will be of short duration, as it is forecast to set in on Sunday, September 29, and weaken later on Monday, September 30, 2024.

✅A. Stormy northwesterly winds of intensity 7 to 8 Beaufort and temporary local 9 Beaufort, will blow from noon on Sunday in the Ionian and the western mainland and from the afternoon in central Macedonia, the Sporades islands, eastern Thessaly, Sterea, Evia, the region of Kythira and Crete. It is pointed out that the winds will be temporarily strong in the rest of the regions.
A gradual weakening of the winds is predicted from midday on Monday. Sept 30.
✅B. Heavy rains and storms will occur from the afternoon of Sunday (29-09-2024) until the early hours of Monday (30-09-2024) in the north-eastern parts of the country and more specifically in eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the north-east Aegean Sea.
✅ C. A drop in temperature is expected on Sunday (29-09-2024) in Macedonia, Epirus and the Ionian Islands and on Monday (30-09-2024) throughout the country, which will be in the range of 6 to 8 degrees Celsius . Indicatively, it is noted that the temperature on Monday will not exceed 21 degrees in Thessaloniki and 24 to 25 degrees Celsius in Athens.
