Priest allegedly involved in mysterious disappearance of granny two years ago

A priest in a village on the island of Crete has been allegedly involved in the mysterious disappearance of a 75-year-old granny two years ago.

75-year-old S. T. disappeared without trace in the morning of September 22, 2022, from the village Alikianos near Chania. She was walking to her son’s house near her own home.

Now, suspicion in very strong that she was overran by the vehicle of the local priest who had her body disappear with the assistance of a Czech couple that was working for him.

According to exclusive information by local media zarpanews.gr, prosecutions have been brought for manslaughter by intent in a calm state of mind and possibly with intent, in complicity with the village priest and the Czech couple who were carrying out work at the cemetery at the time.

According to the case file, the elderly woman was allegedly run over by the priest’s vehicle while she was crossing the road to her son’s house, and then the three defendants tried to cover up the accident, disappearing the tracks and the body of the 75-year-old mother of seven children. and grandmother of 19 grandchildren, the local media reported.

Granny’s son and daughter-in-law suspect that the body was buried somewhere in the local cemetery, candiadoc.gr reported.

The disappearance of the granny ended up in the archives of authorities.

However, the granny’s son Dimitris and his wife Rosalia did not give up efforts to solve the mysterious disappearance of an elderly woman from a small village.

Authorities were mobilized again, used evidence from testimonies as well as footage from security cameras in the area and came to the version that confirms the scenario the woman’s children were supporting from the very beginning.

Besides, Rosalia herself had seen on the road to the cemetery, a few hours after the disappearance, a pool of blood and a line of blood, from which the local police did not take a sample, saying that it might belong to some animal, while a storm in the afternoon of the same day, he washed away the traces.

According to zarpanews, the priest was target of investigation from the very first moment as his car was seen crossing the road to the cemetery, seconds after the  grandmother.

At the same time, the priest and the Czech worker had fallen into contradictions when they were speaking to police.

It is worth noting that the case was unrolled again and the case file was transferred from the police station in Alikianos village to the Headquarters in Chania,

The small village community is shocked, however, it stands behind the priest, as residents of Alikianos told reporters of Mega TV Live News on Wednesday.

So far, the body of the granny has not be found.

    This event happened 2 years ago but the police station in Alikianos was closed many years before that. Initially the village was served by the police station in Voukolies for a number of years but eventuially that was closed and everything was tranferred to the Platanias police station, which is actually in the small village of Palio Gerani. I can’t remeber the exact dates of these events but I know it was already in Platanias by the end of 2020.
