Under the slogan “Let’s not spend a single euro on the market” the Consumers’ Federation of Greece has called on the public to a complete boycott of the market as a gesture of protest against the constant price increases.
The boycott is scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
“If it is possible that on that day of the month, February 19, 2025, we will not pay a single euro to banks, the state, the water, electricity, telephones, fuel, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, the commercial market, electrical and electronic stores, and nowhere in the market is a euro,” the Federation INKA said in statement.
“Let us all send the message that the bosses of the market are the citizens-consumers. Enough with the mockery, deception, profiteering, speculation at the expense of the citizens-consumers. We are all citizens-consumers and how much longer will we endure not making ends meet? Enough to not have money until halfway through the month. How much more tolerance? This is the one day when we must show our strength,” the call concluded.
