Greece ‘s National Soccer team of “kids” beats Scotland 3-0

The youngsters of the Greek national soccer team outplayed and outscored the Scots in Glasgow on Sunday, thrashing the Hampden Park hosts 3-0 and rightfully earning Greece a spot in the top level of the UEFA Nations League.

The Greek National Team proved its worth by defeating Scotland 3-0 at Hampden Park in a Nations League Play-off match on Sunday. Average age of the Greek players is 22.

With this victory, the national soccer team overturned the defeat at  Karaiskakis in Piraeus last week (1-0) and deservedly secured its promotion to League A of the Nations League.

The “kids” of the national team made the Greeks proud, with Konstantelias opening the scoring in the 20th minute with a cool right-footed shot.

Karetsas became the youngest scorer of the national team and the Nations League in the 42nd minute at the age of just 17 years, 4 months and 4 days.

Tzolis tripling the goals of the “blue and white” team in the 46th minute, while Konstantelias had stolen the ball and given him the assist just before.

All three form part of the new generation of the national team and a called “Jovanovic’s kids” from the coach Ivan Jovanovic

Scotland tried to surprise the Greeks with two good chances in the first 10 minutes of the game, first finding the outside netting and then being denied by Greece keeper Konstantis Tzolakis.

The end of the match saw Greece celebrating their promotion to League A, while Scotland were relegated to League B.
