The Greek legal system is, without a doubt, the most incompetent and/or corrupt one in the European Union. Actually, many African countries do far better. The judges and prosecutors are mostly very low quality — some of them are corrupt, and others are taking political orders from whatever political party they are connected to (always involving money). Mitsotakis has done nothing at all to alleviate this structural problem, and Greece is left with this horrendous mess and the government of the day accepting no responsibility. We have to look to Turkey for a worse mess, and even then, only slightly worse.
Hard to believe that the law is like this but then again its Greece
