The weather forecast for Greece predicts a mini heatwave in May with temperatures up to 38 degrees Celsius in some parts of the country and Sahara Dust until the end of the week.
The weather will remain warm all week, May 20-25, 2025 , while rainfalls will be minimal.
Temperature will move to levels above the seasonal average for the season in the coming days, as according to the weather forecast the mercury will climb even to 35 and 38 degrees Celsius, indicating a mini heatwave in May.
One of the main characteristics of the weather will be the transport of Sahara Dust -especially on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, May 21-23, 2025, which with the high temperatures will create a suffocating cocktail in the atmosphere.
According meteorologist Giannis Kallianos, areas with the highest temperature are Fthiotida, Viotia, Argolida and Northern Crete.
Rainfalls in the coming days will be minimal and limited.
OPEN TV meteorologist, Clearchos Marousakis, forecasts the highest temperatures on Friday and specially over the weekend.
However, the mini summer of May will not last long, as from Sunday, May 25, and next week there be a new wave of bad weather with rainfalls and temperature drop throughout the upcoming week.
