A 85-year-old woman was found dead allegedly shot by her 86-year-old one husband who took his own life after committing the crime.
The couple was discovered in their family home in a neighborhood in the center of Volos, in Central Greece, on Thursday, and thus after neighbors complained about a strange odor coming from the apartment.
According to local taxydromos.gr, information indicates that the elderly couple, who had no children, had been showing signs of life since last Tuesday, when he had a conversation with the apartment owner.
The victim was found dead in a pool of blood, while her husband was found also dead at a short distance.
Citing courses, the local media reported that the perpetrator had been very aggressive in recent times and some witnesses said that the couple had oft arguments.
However, what exactly was the motive for the crime and the suicide are not – and will probably will never be known – as no note was found at the crime scene.
