Small-scale landslides have occurred on the North Road Axis of Crete (BOAK) but also on the national road Chania-Kissamos and Kallidonia-Kolympari, as drivers reported to local news website zarpanews.gr

Authorities urge local residents and visitors to avoid unnecessary movements.
Next to flooded roads, there have been power outages, and the fire Service received dozens of phone calls to rescue people or cut trees.
In the Region of Heraklion, a large volume of water has fallen on regions like Finikia and Malades, as well as at Palekastro in the Municipality of Malevizio, making roads impassable by pedestrians and cars alike.
Deputy Heraklion Governor Nikos Syrigonakis said there were small-scale landslides on the North Road Axis of Crete (BOAK), in the section from Bali to Fodele. The region’s and cities’ large machinery are helping out, wherever they are available, he said.
