Workers in Athens Urban Rail Transport -Metro Lines 1, 2 & 3 and the Tram – will hold a work stoppage on Saturday, November 29, in order to bid a final farewell to their colleague, Nikos Vardas, who died while on duty at the Line 1 maintenance base in Piraeus on Wednesday.
The work stoppage will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 14:00 on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
In their announcement, the STASY Workers’ Unions also decided to suspend the previously announced four-hour overnight work stoppage, which was scheduled for Saturday from 01:00 a.m. to 05:00 a.m., due to mourning.
