While the Greek capital Athens is already moving in the rhythms of Christmas and New Year, with the streets and shop windows decorated, a means of public transportation steals the show.
A tram of line 6 “Pikrodafni-Syntagma” decorated with Christmas lights was seen moving on the tracks along the Athens Riviera in Palaio Faliro to the pleasure of passengers.
An additional festive note was that the driver was dressed in a Santa costume and a long, white bear.
With the relevant video going viral, some Greeks commented that this is “the most beautiful tram in Europe.”
