The move amid rising tensions with Iran, sparked speculations that a US strike against Tehran was imminent. The wing of Zion has flown out of Israel in the past, when missiles strikes against or tensions with Iran ertr high .
The “Wing of Zion” has also landed in Crete in June 2025, when Washington conducted strikes against Iran.
Citing “sources” local media ekriti.gr reported that the aircraft flew to Crete before returning to Israel today.
“Officials denied that the movement was linked to military action and said it was part of a routine training exercise,” the local media added.

israel has its own airforce base at agia katerini next to the us navy base at souda……this was not by invitation but was a status of armed forces agreement forced on greece by usn admiral stavridis, then head of nato, in summer 2015 after the oxi/nai kolotoumba.
what a disaster this has been.
