Guided tours free of charge on International Museum Day 2026

Greece’s National Archaeological Museum is participating in the celebration of International Museum Day 2026, which this year is entitled “Museums Unite the World,” with the following events:
Thematic guided tours on Monday, May 18, 2026:

12:00-13:00 – “Cyclades: A Unified Society 5,000 Years Ago” presented by archaeologist Katia Manteli, Head of the Department of Prehistoric, Egyptian, Cypriot and Near Eastern Antiquities Collections.

17:00-18:00 – “From Knossos to Mycenae: Minoan Influences on the Early Mycenaean World and the Turbulent Outcome of a Two-Way Relationship” presented by Kostas Paschalidis, archaeologist at the Department of Prehistoric, Egyptian, Cypriot and Near Eastern Antiquities Collections.

Participation in each guided tour is limited to 25 people. Telephone reservation is required for participation (+30 6952011340).

Admission to the museum on Monday, May 18, 2026, will be free of charge for all museum visitors and participants in the above events.
