A Thomson Airways Boing from UK to Sharm-el-Sheik made an emergency landing in Athens airport Eleftherios Venizelos after a bomb threat. According to latest information, the passengers have been immediately boarded off the plane.
The thriller in the skies occurred when the plane was in the Athens FIR and created tense 15 minutes for the 213 passengers and the crew.
The moment the warning transmitted, two F-16 took off form the Volos military base and a Super Puma helicopter from the Elefsina to escort the Boing to the Athens airport.
The charter Boing landed safely, the passengers went off board and police forces are checking for possible bomb and explosives.
