Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras was released from the hospital on Monday short after 3 o’ clock in the afternoon. With a bandage on his right eye, Samaras waved at journalists and reporters waiting outside.
He was taken directly home as doctors’ ordered a 10-day-long rest.
Later in the afternoon the Prime Minister will hold a meeting with his coalition partners Venizelos (PASOK) and Kouvelis (Democratic Left). He will also hold a telephone conversation with US-President Barack Obama.
Samaras underwent a detached retina surgery on Saturday.
