Tsipras Calls Samaras’ Coalition Government “Merkelists”

Main opposition leader Alexis Tsipras from left-wing SYRIZa called the party leaders of Samaras coalition government “Merkelists”. During the debate on the government programme, Tsipras criticized the coalition government  stressing that the politics of Memorandum of Understanding leads Greece out of the euro. Addressing the three leader of the coalition government Tsipras said “You are not Europeanists, you are Merkelists.”

Further he said that the MoU worsened the economic crisis as the debt, the unemployment and the closing of businesses increased, while he underlined that “austerity puts the euro in danger.”

“The MoU is a crime and the whole responsibility lays on the Troika and who govern the country. The first level is the looting of the society, the second the looting of public assets and the last the default and the return to Drachma,” Tsipras said.

PS nice new euro term: Merkelistas!
