Seeking an agreement with the creditors, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said that Greece has submitted a draft plan to the Institutions – formerly known as the Troika – Monday night. Tsipras did not reveal details of the draft plan but said that it was a program “for Greece to exit the crisis.” At the same time, he threw the ball in creditors’ court urging them to take a political decision.
“The decision whether they want to adapt realism and exit the crisis without division of Europe belongs to the political leadership of the EU,” Tsipras said and expressed his optimism about the outcome of negotiations.
“I am hopeful that the political leadership of Europe will join the realism so that we all together exit the crisis.”
He added that the adaptation of the plan by the Institutions will put an end to scenarios about Europe’s division and that the problem is not Greek but a European, a global problem.
“The dilemma is between a realistic exit from the crisis or division of Europe,” Tsipras said and added “we did all we could do,” and that “we are waiting for an answer now.”
PS oh, it looks so … final.
For crying out loud, when are people going to realise there is NO way forward for the vast majority of its people until Greece finally pull out of the Euro?
You can delay, you can play with figures, but you are also playing with peoples very lives.
Russia and China will love to become trading partners with Greece so trade will NOT cease for the simple reason the rest of the world would not want that scenario.
Get out and kill this disgusting institution that enriches 1 country at the expense of most of the other members.
Interesting, as soon as Greece threatened not to pay to the IMF and Tsipras adopted a more combative move the “Institutions”+their leaders and minions started to run crazy like cockroaches…
The cockroaches I had to contend with in Athens were far more intelligent than the eurogroup ones.
Hear hear!!!
