Short after 3 pm on Friday, the Bank of Greece and the Hellenic Capital Market Commission sent their recommendations for the reopening of the Athens stock Exchange to the Finance ministry.
Euclid Tsakalotos is expected to sign today the relevant decree so that investors in Greece and abroad are analytically briefed in time about a possible restart of trading on Monday, August 3rd 2015.
Technical issues related to the preparation of the banks as to create new bank accounts for the “decoupling” of old and new money have been allegedly overcome.
Meetings are ongoing on the issue of reopening of the Stock Exchange, the Council of Systemic Stability will have a saying on the issue as well. Meetings and consultations are expected to continue throughout the weekend to prepare the reopening of the market.

Athens Stock Exchange closed on Friday, June 26th 2015, and has remained closed since Greece imposed capital controls on June 29th.
