According to epirustv.gr, the culture club used the natural scenery of a cave on the hill of Kastritsa for the reconstruction of the nativity scene.
Joesph, Mary, baby Jesus laying in a manger, the three Magi “from the east” with their presents, along with animals to warm up the newborn infant… They are all there in the cave to the delight of passing drivers who stop to take pictures of the amazing representation.
Kastritsa is a village in the municipal unit of Pamvotida, Ioannina regional unit in Epirus, North-West Greece. It is situated on a hillside near the southern shore of Lake Ioannina.
Kastritsa is situated 2 km southwest of Vasiliki, 3 km east of Katsikas and 7 km southeast of Ioannina. The Egnatia Odos motorway (Alexandroupoli – Thessaloniki – Ioannina – Igoumenitsa) passes south of the village.
