Dozens of people cycled from Orestiada to the border crossing of Katsanies in solidarity with the two Greek soldiers in Turkish custody in the high security prison of Edirne.
Members of cyclists’ association of Orestiada ‘Risos’ but also citizens participated in the protest on cycles on Sunday morning.

In a solidarity mobilization, residents of the broader Evros area in North-Eastern Greece started to flock to the main square of Orestiada Sunday noon to join the big solidarity protest.
Protesters followed the call by dozens of local organizations and joined their voices for the immediate release of the two Greek soldiers.
The parents of Dimitris Kouklatzis and Aggelos Mitretodis said they will not participate in the protest due to the emotionally burdened climate.
The parents are due to Edirne on Monday for the second visit of their sons.
At the same time, Thessaloniki residents whose origins are from the Evros area plan a protest outside the Turkish consulate in Thessaloniki.
