A farmer in a village by Nafplio rescued a young hawk that fell from the sky into a ball of hay. The man was conducting field work when he saw the hawk falling form the sky. He approached the hay ball and carefully took the bird out.
Farmer Aris Tsirikos checked the bird on possible broken wings and when no injury was found, he set it free again, close to its nest.
The nest was on a tree nearby, with three young hawks in total.
According to local media argolikeseidiseis, the mother hawk closely followed the rescue procedure.
It is the time of the season where young hawks are taught to fly around and seek their own food.
The lessons towards an independent life are not always successful….
