A columnist in a Turkish pro-government newspaper has claimed that there was a assassination plan against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on election day, June 24. The plot has features of a …Hollywood production because as the columnist claimed “12 foreign countries” were behind the plot to assassinate Erdogan. The plot was foiled and a “foreign agent involved committed suicide by consuming cyanide.”

Columnist Ersin Ramoğlu wrote in Turkish pro-government newspaper Sabah that there was a plot to kill President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on election day, around 3 o’ clock early Sunday afternoon.
12 foreign countries were behind the plot to blow up a minivan packed with 20 tonnes of explosives on Erdoğan’s route before the election results were announced.
However, Turkey-made Göktürk satellite identified the threat and it was neutralised before Erdogan’s convoy passed.
Allah had protected the president and thousands of other innocent lives from the blast.
Security forces also spotted a foreign agent who had been posted as a sniper on a nearby building roof to finish the job had Erdogan survived. Rather than give himself up, he swallowed a cyanide tablet and killed himself. He did not give any information.
The columnist clearly hinds at opposition and notes:
The only question remaining was whether the Turkish opposition were completely oblivious of this threat or whether they had been briefed on it in advance. Why was the vice president of CHP claiming that Muharrem Ince [Erdogan’s mayor challenger on presidential race] would win the elections?
The columnist does not reveal the city where Erdogan convoy was to pass by the car bomb, most likely it was either in Turkish capital Ankara or in Istanbul.
Neither the names of the 12 ‘evil’ countries conspiring against Erdogan nor the nationality of the “foreign agent” have been disclosed. Or how the Turkish intelligence revealed the plot masterminds as the key witness was dead.
Why the international conspiracy and the incident of a car bomb were not earlier revealed to the media reporters but the priceless information was handed out to a columnist?
Conspiracies are the strong point of columnists nor of reporters….
CHP politicians arrested on terror charges
Last Friday, a former CHP lawmaker, Eren Erdem, was arrested on charges on terrorism charges. The prosecutor accused Erdem in the indictment for “aiding a terrorist organization without being a member,” “revealing the identity of a secret witness,” and “violating the confidentiality of a criminal investigation.”
Erdem is charged for having links with Erdogan’s arch enemy and former mentor Fetullah Gulen. He is accused of having published illegal wiretapping of Erdogan in 2013. The wiretapping was related to Turkey-Syria and the corruption scandal of Erdogan family that ultimately brought a rift between Erdogan and Gulen. The material was released through an interview with the English-language Russian news-service Russia Today.
According to authorities, publishing the wiretapping constituted an “attempted coup.”
Erdem was MP from 2015 to June 2018.
Erdem is the second journalist and CHP politician to be arrested in connection with that famous scandal. The first was Enis Berberoglu, whose parliamentary immunity was lifted in 2016, a year after he was elected. Berberoglu was convicted of espionage after allegedly giving an opposition newspaper a video purporting to show Turkey’s intelligence agency trucking weapons to Syria.
It looks like Erdogan, the super-powers president of Turkey, now flexes his muscles and is preparing the ground to accuse the main opposition of “cooperating with terrorism.”
PS does Erdogan have 12 international state enemies ?
