For one more time, the bad weather front left behind flooded homes, businesses and agricultural land, uprooted trees and broken power poles, The islands of Zakynthos and Corfu, South-West Peloponnese and Halkidiki in Central Macedonia were mostly hit and suffered the most damages.
Corfu

Many households and businesses were left without power on Wednesday after the rain- and thunderstorm damaged electricity poles.


Several areas on the islands were declared in “state of emergency” after a storm hit the island in the North Ionian Sea last week.

Homes were flooded during the heavy rain and thunderstom that hit the islands.

South-West Peloponnese
Thousands of acres of agricultural land came under water in Messinia when the river was flooded.
Halkidiki
Roads turned into rivers and basements were flooded in Flogita, Triglia and Nea Plagia in Halkidiki when a severe thunderstorm stroke the area.
The Fire Service rescued two drivers trapped with their cars in the waters, while it received more than 20 calls for help, including pump water from flooded homes and businesses.

Thunderbolts turn night into day
In Nea Propontida there were extensive power outages.
By 10 o’ clock on Wendesday morning a total of 3,712 thunderbolts had fell across the country.
