28 new confirmed coronavirus cases have been recorded in Greece in the last 24 hours, and among them are 13 detected on tourists at the country’s entrance gates, health authorities announced on Friday evening. The total infections stand at 3,486 recording an increase of 0.8% in the last 24 hours.
With no new death in the past 3 days, death toll remains at 192.

According to the Health Ministry statement on Friday, of the total 3,486 cases, 799 are related to travel abroad, 1,922 are related to an already known case. The rest are not related to travel or another known case or are still under investigation.
8 patients are intubated in hospitals Intensive Care Units. Their average age is 60 years old, among them are 4 women. 87.5% of the patients have underlying health issues or are over 70 years old.
119 patients have been discharged from the ICUs since the beginning of the outbreak.
Number of coronavirus-related deaths stands at 192.
Among the deceased were 61 women.
The average age of the deceased was 76, and 95.8% had underlying health issues and/or were over 70 years old.
According to the Health Ministry, a total of 325,457 coronvirus tests have been conducted since beginning of the year, 5,570 (1.71%) are positive. The data include several tests conducted on a single patient, as well.
27,416 (8.4%) have been conducted among flight passengers since June 12, the EODY statement said, adding that 54 were positive.
Unfortunately, the data given by the Greek National Health Organization are not complete and therefore not satisfying.
What is the purpose of releasing only tests conducted at airports, when tests are also conducted to thousands of travelers arriving via the land crossings since June 15.
